Fourth Steering Committee
INTEGRE - 29 May 2015
The fourth steering committee was held in Papeete, on 29 May 2015.
The 4 Pacific overseas territories were represented and the meeting was headed by French Polynesia.
An assessment of the year 2014-2015 allowed all participants to have an overall view of this regional project, from each site's main progress to the implmentation of regional activities.
The validated workplan for 2015-2016 includes:
Regional level:
- regional workshop on organic farming: New caledonia, first week of november
- next INTEGRE technical workshop: on waste management, Wallis & Futuna, March 2016
- bilateral exchanges: follow-up for the 7 validated projects, launch of the econd call for proposals (september 2015 - january 2016)
- first "mini" methodologicla workshops - Nouméa - september 2015
On sites:
- New-Caledonia:
- Forum of management committees (Ouvéa, 2-5 July 2015)
- Layouts in Ouvéa and the Great South
- Launching the methodological support in New-Caledonia
- Wallis & Futuna:
- Exportation of used oils and batteries
- reinforcement of the waste-sorting process in Wallis
- Raising awareness with the College
- Inventory in preparation for Futuna water management scheme
- Starting the reforestation of Futuna water catchment areas
- French Polynesia:
- Opunohu: participatory diagnostic of the site
- Raiatea-Tahaa: settlement of a collective professional waste management scheme
- Tahiti Peninsula: low-cost juvenile production techniques (mesocosm)
- Pitcairn:
- Arrival of the French polynesian workers (June 2015)
- Waste characterization survey (June-November 2015), integrated waste management policy proposal (December 2015)
- Experts visit (February 2016)
